Robert Loggia plays Siv in HARVEST, the patriarch around whom the entire family gathers. It’s Siv’s final summer, and he spends his final days as fully as possible. Bob gives one of the best performances of his long career. He’s had a successful one spanning over 50 years in film and television, primarily known for his robust character roles. An Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of a debilitated detective in JAGGED EDGE opposite Glenn Close. An Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor for his role on the short-lived drama series MANCUSO, FBI. Another Emmy nom for Outstanding Guest Actor for his work on MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE. Countless other guest spots in various television series through the years. And then of course we all know him from BIG where he and Tom Hanks play the giant piano in the famous FAO Schwartz scene. Or when Al Pacino’s Tony Montana has Bob’s Frank Lopez killed in one of the great scenes in SCARFACE. He was the general in INDEPENDENCE DAY, and AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN and PRIZZI’S HONOR hold top spots in Bob’s filmography as well. Not to mention David Lynch’s critically acclaimed LOST HIGHWAY. Bob has been parodied on a much-loved episode of FAMILY GUY, and there was also the Minute Maid commercial mocking obscure celebrity endorsements (“whoa, it’s Robert Loggia”). This month Bob appears as the trainer coaching PC in a new spot in the long running and clever “Get a Mac” ad campaign. Of course, THE SOPRANOS fans know him as Feech.

After returning from serving in the Army during the Korean War, Bob committed to a career as an actor and became known to the public in 1958 starring in Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color television series. Less than a decade later he starred as T. Hewitt Edward Cat in NBC’s T.H.E. CAT. Robert Loggia is one cool cat indeed. This clip is just one example why…
